What can Counselling do for you?

As the name “BridieListens” suggests, I offer you a secure place to be truly heard.  However I feel there is more involved in counselling than just listening.  I believe that each of us has a motivating force towards our personal fulfillment, which may lead to individual growth and harmony. At times we may feel ‘stuck’ or ‘trapped’ by events or emotions, and may benefit from an honest, compassionate and accepting relationship.  This allows you the time to explore your issues as you choose, leading to self-understanding and empowerment.

The therapeutic process can be beneficial for clients experiencing issues with, though not limited to, the following:

·  Abuse (physical, psychological and sexual)

·  Anger

·  Bereavement

·  Depression

·  Eating disorders

·  Low self esteem and confidence

·  Panic attacks

·  Post-traumatic stress

·  Relationship difficulties

·  Self harm

·  Spirituality

  ·  Suicidal thoughts

Counselling is also suitable for those who may have no particular presenting issues or concerns yet wish to explore further their own sense of self, seeking greater self-knowledge and/or in working towards a more meaningful way of life.

If you feel that you may benefit from counselling you can contact me directly by email or telephone via my contact page.
